Brazilian football legend Pele has been hospitalised again for more treatment on his colon tumour, Reuters are reporting.
Sao Paulo's Hospital Albert Einstein confirmed that the 81-year-old is in a stable condition, adding that he is likely to be discharged in the next few days.
The three-time World Cup winner spent almost a month in hospital after undergoing surgery on the tumour in September, and returned to intensive care after his initial discharge. His daughter described his return to hospital at the time as a "little step back," insisting he was "recovering well."
And his latest return to the same hospital for more treatment does not appear to be cause for alarm, with the hospital explaining he is 'continuing his treatment.'
