Paul Pogba is not just the world's most expensive football player, he's also the sports world's first genuine social media superstar.

A status confirmed when he became the first player on the planet to get his face made into his own bespoke emoji. The move was not a universally popular one with football fans, some of whom suggested he should be focused more on justifying his eye-watering price tag on the pitch rather than his social media presence. Because at times it's hard to tell if Pogba is a footballer with a very astute social media marketing strategy or a just social media brand that does a sideline in professional football.
