It may be taking place slightly earlier than normal, but transfer deadline day is here
As is tradition on such occasions, Sky Sports News have positioned approximately 12,000 reporters outside various training grounds up and down the land - all on the hunt for any slight clues that a new deal may be in the offing.
One of those reporters, Michael Bridge, was at the gates of Crystal Palace's Beckenham training complex early in the day, providing a live update on the London club's transfer activity (or lack of it).
As he spoke to the presenters back in the studio, a Range Rover was seen passing behind him, splashing a puddle over Bridge as he made his way to training.

Fortunately, Bridge appeared to see the funny side of the incident and minutes later, had an apology from the culprit.
A tweet from Palace's Patrick van Aanholt made clear that he was the man behind the wheel of the car. As well as saying sorry, he also promised to warn his teammates about the puddle to avoid any repeats.

With Bridge replying to his tweet, Van Aanholt added that he'd be happy to lend him some dry clothing to see him through the rest of the day.
