The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the purse figures to media members late on Friday evening.
McGregor's $30 million is significantly more than he made in his last MMA outing against Eddie Alvarez. While the New York State Athletic Commission do not release purse figures, it's understood the Irishman would have banked in the region of $4 million for his victory at UFC 205. Mayweather, meanwhile, made $32 million in his most recent fight, against Andre Berto. The undefeated pugilist famously earned roughly $180 million for his unanimous decision victory over Manny Pacquiao in May, 2015.
It should be pointed out that both McGregor and Mayweather will make significantly more when all is said and done as the NSAC purse figures do not include money earned from sponsors or the pay-per-view cuts to which both men are entitled.
McGregor vs. Mayweather remains on course to break the pay-per-view record of 4.6 million, with UFC President Dana White projecting a whopping 4.9 million buys for the spectacle which goes down on Saturday night in the T-Mobile Arena.Football
