The official match ball for the new 2024/2025 Premier League season has been released and fans are already saying the same thing about it.
Every year the creative minds at Nike put their heads together to redesign the most simple of objects, the ball, often to great success.
This year's ball has been dubbed the Nike 'Flight' suggesting that it was made for that very purpose.
On their website the ball has been described as "built to help you succeed on the pitch."
The ball features four fused panels which allegedly "helps create a larger sweet spot for more powerful strikes."
Furthermore it also has moulded grooves to "help reduce drag and a grippy texture for better control in any weather."
When it comes to football, fans are always hyper-critical of the aesthetic aspect of the beautiful game, ranging from kits to stadiums to footballs.
This new edition is no different, spurring plenty of conversation on the internet.
Last year saw one of the best designs yet, however next seasons is already set up to be a fan favourite after initial reaction to the balls release.
Taking to X one user described the ball as "a good looking ball."
Another user wrote: "Wow!! looks great. Excited.
Meanwhile not everyone has been convinced with the usual nostalgia merchants still hung up on the classics.
One user wrote: "Nothing compares to the 94/95 Mitre Premier League!"
Currently the official match ball is retailing at £130, however cheaper replicas will likely soon be available.
However this year there may be more incentive to buy the ball as Nike's historic 25 year ball partnership comes to an end this season with the Premier League.
From next year Puma will be supplying the balls to England's top flight.
Now that the new match ball has been released there is nothing else to do but roll on the new season!
