Norwich City fans chanted "f*** off back to Chelsea" towards Blues loanee Billy Gilmour during their Premier League defeat against Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old joined the Canaries on a season-long loan from Chelsea in the summer after impressing for Scotland during the European Championships.
The midfielder - who has made 14 appearances for the club, registering one assist - has played in Norwich's last eight matches after falling out of favour with former manager Daniel Farke.
However, he was subject to a bizarre chant from a section of Norwich fans as Dean Smith's side suffered another Premier League defeat - losing 3-0 against Palace at Selhurst Park.
Odsonne Édouard opened the scoring for the home side, before Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jeffrey Schlupp ensured the Eagles secured all three points.

The verbal abuse aimed towards the Chelsea loanee has been criticised by a number of people.
Mark McDougall, Football Scotland writer, wrote: "Norwich fans wanting rid of the best player at their club. Don't blame Billy Gilmour for your owners being happy to be a yo-yo club and not investing in your squad. Weird fans."
Gilmour has made 22 appearances for Chelsea since making his Premier League debut on 31 August against Sheffield United.
Norwich have made a shocking start to the Premier League campaign, recording just two wins from their opening 19 matches.
The Canaries have accumulated 10 points and sit three points - having played two more matches - behind Watford, who are in 17th position.
Smith's men have only scored eight goals so far this season, conceding 42 in the process. They have the worst goal difference in the top-flight and have lost all of their last five matches.
