Norwich City striker was caught up in Brussels terror attack

"Unharmed but shaken."

That is how Norwich City have described their on-loan striker Dieumerci Mbokani after he was caught up in this morning's terrorist attack at Zaventem Airport in Brussels. At least 11 people were killed at the airport this morning when a suspected suicide bomber detonated in the terminal, while possibly another 15 were killed in an attack on Maalbeek metro station in the city centre. https://twitter.com/NorwichCityFC/status/712245065431834624 The 30-year-old Congolese international was visiting family in Belgium, where he spent much of his career, playing for Anderlecht and Standard Liege. Mbokani is currently on loan to the Canaries from Dynamo Kiev. Norwich released the below statement to assure fans the striker was safe and pass on their thoughts to the victims of the attacks.

"The on-loan Dinamo Kiev striker was unharmed but shaken by the tragic events at the airport, in which a number of people were killed or injured.

"The Club is in constant dialogue with Dieumerci, who has now returned home to be with his family.

"The thoughts of everyone at Norwich City are with the victims of the atrocities in Belgium today and their relatives.
