Nicklas Bendtner scored a nice glancing header, too bad it was an own goal

Lord Bendtner scores when he wants...

Nicklas Bendtner was among the goals today.

The Nottingham Forest striker rose high to score a nice glancing header in the game against the club’s bitter rivals Derby County.

It’s just a shame it was at the wrong end.

Bendtner scored an unfortunate own-goal to give the home side the lead in the midlands’ derby, and the Derby fans absolutely loved it.

Bendtner signed for Forest back in September on a free-transfer, after being without a club since Wolfsburg cancelled his contract last April.

He has scored two goals (at the right end) in 10 games so far, and has a long way to go to make sure his own goal against Derby isn’t his most famous moment in a Forest shirt.
The former Arsenal striker’s own-goal set Derby on their way to a 3-0 win, and he should probably avoid social media for the rest of the day.
