Nick Kyrgios is one of the most divisive players in world tennis.
The young Australian has won plenty of fans for his fearless style, but some have criticised an apparent lack of commitment, not least in his Wimbledon defeat at the hands of Andy Murray.
So when the 21-year-old started joking about Pokemon Go overtaking tennis in his list of hobbies, it was always going to stretch that divide even wider.
To be fair, with football clubs already attracting fans by setting up lures in their stadia, it can only be a matter of time before tennis fans (or players) are able to get their hands on a courtside Charizard.

After saying he got more excited for an egg hatching in the mobile game than for a break point in the sport he gets paid to play for a living, most of the reaction was one of solidarity from fellow Pokemon trainers.
