Kanté is making moves on and off the pitch

N’Golo Kanté is reportedly on the cusp of buying a Belgian side as he prepares to look towards his long-term career.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has claimed that the World Cup winner is working alongside his associates to complete a deal to buy RE Virton, who were relegated from the Belgian second tier at the end of last season.

He added that the 32-year-old has already visited the club’s facilities and has made an offer for a majority stake in the club, which current owner Flavio Becca has deemed to be acceptable.

Kanté could be set for a Premier League exit – eight years after arriving when he joined Leicester City for £5.5m in 2015 – with Saudi Araboa the rumoured destination.

The midfielder is expected to sign for Al Ittihad, who recently added Karim Benzema to their ranks, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that he will be paid in the region of €100m-a-year.

His final season at Chelsea was one to forget after his playing time was hampered by injury, restricting him to just seven league appearances in a troubled campaign.

Under new boss Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea are expected to have a mass clear out as they look to improve on a disastrous season.

As well as Kanté, Mateo Kovačić, Mason Mount, Romelu Lukaku and more are likely to head for the exit door at Stamford Bridge this summer.
