‘Neymar is quite weak, right?’ – Kid grills Chelsea’s Ramires in revealing interview (Video)

If Ramires thought he’d get an easy right from his young interviewer, he had another thing coming…

Football Beyond Borders arranged for the Chelsea midfielder to be interviewed by 11-year-old Joel in his native tongue of Portuguese, and at first it seemed like he was getting an easy ride.

Joel asked Ramires who he supported as a boy, before inviting him to talk through his wonder-goal against Barcelona on the way to Champions League glory in 2012.

But then came some rather blunt questioning about Brazil’s abysmal showing in the 2014 World Cup. When Ramires underplayed his country’s failure with “Didn’t end up well, did it?”, Joel clarified the point with: “You went out against Germany.” Sheesh!

Discussion turned to Neymar’s absence from the crucial semi-final, and the Chelsea man bemoaned the fact that the country’s best player suffered an injury against Colombia in the previous game.

Joel responded with: “Neymar is quite weak, right?”, leaving Ramires slightly flummoxed.

But it all ended on a good note, with the 28-year-old teaching the youngster his famous goal celebration dance. Anything to get out of that hot seat…
