New Zealand winger swaps World Cup final boots in return for cake

Sweet trade

These classy All Blacks gestures are getting out of hand.

First Sonny Bill Williams, then Sonny Bill again, next we had Beauden Barrrett. Now, Nehe Milner Skudder has stepped up.

The New Zealand winger gifted Kuratiwaka Ngarimu his World Cup final boots after the young rugby fan kept a very important promise.

During the World Cup, and with the help of his mum, the 10-year-old recorded a message to Milner Skudder and posted it on Facebook. In his video, Kuratiwaka vowed to help his mum make a cake, which he would present to him if New Zealand won the World Cup final.

The Ruatoria youngster was thrilled when the All Blacks winger sent him back a video message and went one huge step further by helping his side to a 34-17 win over Australia in the final.

At the team’s homecoming ceremony in Auckland, Kuratiwaka met his idol and handed over the cake.

In return, Milner Skudder gave him his cherished boots and invited him to ride with his fellow All Blacks on the team bus.

A day to remember for the young lad and his family.

We wonder if the boots will inspire the young pup to deeds like this:
