National team seems to know something about Alexis Sanchez’s next move that we don’t

Have Chile spilled the beans?

You know Alexis Sanchez.

He’s the 28-year-old who scored 29 goals in all competitions this season.

He represents Chile and has made 108 appearances for his country.

He also plays for Bayern Munich, apparently.

Much has been made about Sanchez’s next career move as the forward, who we thought played for Arsenal, is seemingly keen on changing his surroundings this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain were believed to be front-runners for the player’s signature but, according to recent reports, Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Sanchez.

South American outlet El Mercurio have insisted that Bayern are set to splash out £50 million for Sanchez when the transfer window opens.

And those in the Chile camp certainly seem to believe that that deal will go through as they’ve listed Sanchez as a Bayern Munich player in their recent squad announcement for the Confederations Cup.

Originally revealed by Squawka, several eagle-eyed supporters noticed the graphics gaffe and viewed it as confirmation that Sanchez’s days as an Arsenal player were numbered.

The @LaRoja Twitter account moved quickly to fix the mistake but not before many, many screenshots were snapped.

Earlier this week, current Bayern Munich midfielder and Sanchez’s national teammate Arturo Vidal went public with his encouragement for Sanchez to join the Bundesliga champions.

“Of course I would like him to come because he is an extraordinary player,” Vidal told Sport.

“He is doing a great job at Arsenal. I think he still needs to take that step forward to fight to be among the best in the world and, in order for that to happen, he has to join the best team in the world.

“Whenever they [Bayern executives] have asked me, I’ve always said that he is the player that needs to arrive here. He has one year left on his contract. Everyone wants him now because it’s easier to pay that money now rather than if he had three years left on his contract.”
