You’re going to be hearing a lot about him

Juventus striker Moise Kean is currently in the news after being victim to racist abuse on Tuesday evening, a situation which has prompted questionable responses from his teammate Leonardo Bonucci and his manager.

While many people will have first heard of Kean due to the abuse he faced, the 19-year-old has long been considered a hot prospect in Italy and, prior to Tuesday’s game in Cagliari, was in the hottest streak of form in his life.

He’s one of football’s most promising young talents and proved with a visit to a children’s charity on Wednesday that he is also a very good person.

Both of these topics were discussed by his mother Isabelle during an interview with Italian media outfit Tuttosport prior to that match with Cagliari, in which she told the story of how her son had ensured she would no longer have to work after he signed for Juventus.

“We had little money. Then one day Moise calls me on my way to work at 5.30am and says ‘Mom, I’ve a surprise’,” she said.

“I told him ‘No, don’t tell me you didn’t sign with Juve’.

“He replied ‘I did and starting today you will quit your job and live with me in Turin’.

“His birth was a miracle. The doctors told me that I could not have other children, I cried and prayed. Giovanni [Moise’s older brother] also asked me for a little brother.

“One night I dreamed of Moses. He came to help me and after four months I was pregnant again.”
