Never a good sign when David Luiz is telling you to cop on

The first half of Liverpool's crucial home Premier League tie against Chelsea was a tight affair, with the home side calm and collected but the home support slightly nervous after Manchester City's 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace earlier in the day. Both sides had chances which were well saved by their respective goalkeepers but the main talking point was a moment involving Mohamed Salah and Chelsea defender David Luiz. Running towards goal along the goal line, Salah tried to bring the ball past Luiz, who put his foot vaguely in the direction of the ball. By this stage the ball was gone out of play and Salah went down, despite not receiving contact. This led to the Brazilian defender - football's elegant jester - to urge Salah to just cop on and get on with it. He did just that, and didn't necessarily protest or appeal for a penalty, but that didn't stop people on social media criticising him for what they perceived as yet another act of simulation from the striker. https://twitter.com/garybrian87/status/1117455926410260482 https://twitter.com/Pubs_of_Mcr/status/1117455897788321794 https://twitter.com/Cristianology7/status/1117455883733098496 https://twitter.com/ftbljackk/status/1117455867404804096 https://twitter.com/paulbeavers8/status/1117455847083397120
