There is a very good reason for the excitement that surrounded the booking of Donald Cerrone vs. Robbie Lawler when it first came together last year. Few fights are guaranteed barnburners but this one literally had no potential for boredom or tentative striking exchanges, which explained the heartbreak that accompanied the bad news that it had been scrapped from the UFC 205 card last November due to an injury to Lawler. UFC 213's loss is very much UFC 214's gain as the match-up is expected to be moved to the latter card, which takes place three weeks later. UFC 214 will be headlined by the grudge rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones, when the UFC light heavyweight title will be on the line.
