Miesha Tate responds strongly to Aljamain Sterling insulting her boyfriend

Really rubbed her the wrong way

Miesha Tate is not happy with Aljamain Sterling.

Undefeated bantamweight star Sterling (13-0, 4-0 UFC) will finally slug it out with Bryan Caraway (20-7, 5-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 88  after what seems like eons of talking smack at Tate’s other half in pursuit of the fight.

Despite getting the one fight he’s been pushing for, Sterling has not ceased the smack talk, if anything he’s only ramped it up of late. “Funk Master” even compared Caraway to a “parasite” for leeching off his girlfriend’s fame in a recent interview with Bloody Elbow,

“Miesha’s awesome, she’s a great person, but when you got a guy who is on the bandwagon, who is just kinda riding your coattails, and any type of success you have, any type of sponsors you have, they kinda just leach on to you, I think… he kinda just reminds me of a freakin’ parasite, just one of those guys, I think that’s what bothers me most about him.”

“I mean, it’s cool yeah, your girlfriend’s hot and she’s a badass, the world champion, that’s cool, but what have you done?”

The UFC women’s bantamweight champion has taken note of Sterling’s trash talk and she’s not impressed with some of the insults that he’s been throwing Caraway’s way.

Tate called out the rising bantamweight on Twitter, claiming that some of Sterling’s smack talk is offensive to women.

“Cupcake” didn’t specify what the sexist insult was, but she may have been referring to Sterling’s post wishing all the “strong women in the UFC” a happy International Women’s day.

He attached an image of some of the UFC’s top female athletes including Tate, Holly Holm and Cat Zingano with the punchline being Caraway’s mug featuring alongside the female stars.
