Michael Owen gets torn to shreds for attempt at pronouncing ‘Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’

Perhaps Michael Owen should have stuck with 'the Dortmund striker' for the night.

Admittedly Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doesn't have the easiest name to pronounce, but when your job is to speak about European football, it's worth learning the names of one of the best in the world. We were quite happy to write this off as a slip of the tongue as Owen, who was on commentary duty for Borussia Dortumnd's 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday night, couldn't quite get his head around the name.
