Sarri achieved the bare minimum in his one year at Juventus, winning Serie A - though by just one point. But his failure to make it past the last 16 in the Champions League has proved the final straw.
Sarri's Juventus were never completely convincing in the league and he never quite got the best out of Cristiano Ronaldo, who was signed to elevate them to a level that would see them win the Champions League.
The pair were never compatible and it is the manager who has taken the fall for this underachievement.
