Chelsea secured their fifth victory from five games this season today, coming from behind to beat Cardiff 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Eden Hazard.

This afternoon’s result puts Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri in esteemed company, as he became only the fourth manager to win their first five games in the Premier League.

The other managers on the list include Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti and Craig Shakespeare, who kickstarted an upturn in form at Leicester City after taking over from Claudio Ranieri.

Sarri would have been forgiven for making a slow start to his Chelsea career, given the lack of time he had to implement his style of play to the squad, but they players have taken to it well. The arrival of Jorginho, who moved from Napoli this summer too, has been a key part of ensuring the transition from Conte-ball to Sarrismo was a smooth one.

Once the Europa League fixtures start piling up, we will see the true extent of this Chelsea team’s quality, but for now, they have looked as good as anyone and Sarri deserves recognition for this achievement.
