Mateo Kovacic performs worst initiation song of all time for Man City teammates

Over the years we've been treated to the best and the worst of them via the form of social media and Mateo Kovacic has certainly cemented himself in the latter of those categories with his performance.

Kovacic joined Manchester City from Chelsea earlier in the summer and while on tour in Japan with his new side for pre-season, was tasked with choosing a song to sing in front of his new teammates.

The Croatian went with Steve Holy's 'Good Morning Beautiful' but it didn't exactly go down a treat with Erling Haaland, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday, posting a video to his Instagram with the caption: "Thanks for the birthday song".

Man City are also reportedly on the verge of signing RB Leipzig centre back, and international teammate of Kovacic's, Joso Gvardiol however the Bundesliga played down those reports and said a deal was far from being completed.

Meanwhile a number of other big names are set to depart the Etihad Stadium this summer. Riyad Mahrez is having a medical ahead of a move to Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia while Kyle Walker could join Bayern Munich.

Aymeric Laporte and Bernardo Silva have also been linked with moves away from the Premier League champions.
