Marseille fans have staged a protest outside the club's training ground, demanding the resignation of club president Jacques Henri Eyraud. Fans have set fire to a tree outside the ground, hung banners around the town and attempted to force entry into the training ground. Marseille are currently sixth in Ligue 1, having lost their last three matches and look unlikely to qualify for the Champions League. The club's finances are in disarray as well, with star player Florian Thauvin set to leave on a free at the end of the season. Marseille's game against Rennes on Saturday evening has been postponed, L'Equipe are reporting.
