Marcus Rashford has sent his support to Ravel Morrison after footage of his interview with Rio Ferdinand was widely shared on social media on Tuesday.
Morrison, once highly rated as he progressed through Manchester United's youth ranks, spoke candidly to Ferdinand about his career on Vibe with FIVE, admitting he made mistakes as a youngster and that he would change 90 per cent of his life if he had the power to. He also appeared genuinely moved at hearing a text Sir Alex Ferguson had sent Ferdinand about him.
Rashford shares plenty of common-ground with Morrison, having joined United's academy after playing for the same Manchester junior side, Fletcher Moss Rangers.
Quote tweeting a part of Morrison's interview - in which he talks about the disappointment of his departure from West Ham - Rashford urged the midfielder to be positive about what lies ahead.
"Nobody in their 20s has failed at life, still so many chapters to live," he tweeted. "@morrisonravel Keep your head held high."

Morrison, now 28, has played for ten different clubs since leaving Old Trafford in 2012. He returned to England in 2019 after a spell in Sweden earned him a move to Sheffield United but failed to make an impression on the Blades' top flight return.
His most recent appearances came with Dutch club ADO Den Haag. His contract was terminated there last month, after making just five appearances for the club.
