Cash plus player deals don't come around very much in football
Inter Milan are reportedly keen on Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku and are willing to offer the Premier League club a cash plus player deal to bring the Belgian to the San Siro.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter will offer United Croatian forward Ivan Perisic alongside £30 million in exchange for Lukaku, who moved to Old Trafford from Everton two seasons ago for a fee of £75m.
It is understood that the expected appointment of Antonio Conte as Inter manager is the driving force behind the interest, with the former Chelsea coach a big fan of Lukaku.
Perisic was a long term target of United under former manager Jose Mourinho, with the former Wolfsburg player repeatedly linked with the club for a number of transfer windows.
Lukaku generally impressed in his first season at Old Trafford but struggled to establish himself under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, after a disappointing first half of the season.
He scored 15 goals in all competitions during the 2018/19 season - 12 less than he scored the previous campaign.
Perisic was instrumental in Croatia's impressive 2018 World Cup campaign - where he scored in the semi-finals against England and one in the final during his country's 4-2 loss to eventual champions France.
