Jose Mourinho wants not one, not two but three Spurs stars to move to Manchester United

Manchester United are set to finish another Premier League season outside the top four. Jose Mourinho may have won a League Cup and guided United to a Europa League final in his first season at the helm, but sixth place finish is looking likely. No-one at the club will be pleased with that outcome and, already, the planning for 2017/18 has begun. While there were reports on Friday that United had already lined up Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez, such a move may rest on United reaching the Champions League via their Europa League exploits. The Star is reporting that United are planning to approach three of the Tottenham stars that helped their side to a 2-1 victory over them on Sunday. A triple raid - valued at £110m - would see United go after Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose. Dier is said to be the highest paid of the Spurs trio, having signed a five-year contract worth a reported £50,000 a week last September. That is slightly ahead of Walker, then Rose, but United may well offer them six-figure weekly salaries. Manchester City are also said to have interests in both Walker and Rose, who are both 26. Once again, one would imagine that most of Mourinho's transfer activities will be resting on whether United can beat Ajax in their upcoming final and make it back to the Champions League.
