One doesn't even start for United

Manchester United fans won’t be happy about this.

United will face their toughest task of the season thus far when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford on Monday night.

Having already tasted defeat at the hands of Brighton last week, United manager Jose Mourinho will understand the importance of avoiding consecutive losses if the Red Devils have any chance of launching a title challenge this term.

But Spurs are no walk in the park and with Harry Kane now able to find the net in August, Mourinho is preparing to switch things up for the game.

The meeting of two of the Premier League’s so-called Big Six brings forth the question about which players would get into a combined XI of both teams.

Matt Le Tissier reckons that Spurs ought to dominate a hypothetical team if both squads were available to choose from.

The Southampton legend has picked just three United players in his combined XI and surprisingly named Marcus Rashford in his team even though the youngster doesn’t even start for Mourinho.

Harry Kane has been selected ahead of Romelu Lukaku while David De Gea has been given the nod ahead of Hugo Lloris in goal.

The defence is made up completely of Spurs players while Paul Pogba is the only other player from Old Trafford to be given a place.
