Louis van Gaal could be adding to his midfield options come January.

According to Bild, the Man United manager has been monitoring the progress of Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu for some time now and is ready to formalise his interest. They report that United scouts were present at Leverkusen's 4-4 draw with Roma in the Champions League, and that their eyes were firmly on the 21-year-old Turkish starlet. Despite his tender years, Calhanoglu has already cemented his place amongst the world's very best free-kick takers. For what it's worth he was rated as the number one set-piece specialist on FIFA 16... Bild say that his Bundesliga club are loathe to let their star performer leave, but will reluctantly consider offers in the region of £30m.
