Manchester United fans aren't happy with Paul Pogba's rating on Fifa 18

Pogba has been downgraded in the game.

Fifa 18 will be released on September 29, and it's already causing debate and argument amongst football fans. The player ratings for the extremely popular video have been teased out ahead of the launch in a few weeks.

On Friday, the best players on the game, from 40 to 31, were revealed, and two Manchester United players were included.

40. Christian Eriksen, 39. Arturo Vidal, 38. Marcelo, 37. Edinson Cavani, 36. Paul Pogba, 35. N'Golo Kante, 34. Marco Verratti, 33. Jerome Boateng, 31. Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, some United fans took issue with the ratings.

Paul Pogba, who joined the club from Juventus last summer for a then-world record fee of £89m, is rated at 86, the same as Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante, his France teammate and PFA Player of the Year.

While Mesut Ozil is rated higher than both players at 87, despite his indifferent form for Arsenal since the turn of the year.

Some United fans on social media weren't happy that Kante was given the same rating as Pogba, despite the Chelsea midfielder's pivotal role in winning the last two Premier League titles, and Pogba's patchy form last season.

The United midfielder has started this season in good form, scoring in the club's routine wins over West Ham United and Swansea City. However, Pogba's rating has dropped from 88 in last year's edition of the game to 86. Kante's rating has risen from 81 to 86, and Ozil's has dropped from 89 to 88.

It may not seem like enough of a change to be that controversial, but Pogba's rating in comparison to Kante and Ozil did not go down well. It caused the biggest argument about Fifa 18 player ratings since earlier this week, when Liverpool fans took issue with Henrikh Mkhitaryan receiving a higher rating than Sadio Mane.
