Man United lining up €40m move for 'world's best free-kick taker'

It only seems like yesterday since the summer transfer window slammed shut, but Man United are already planning their future spending on new recruits.

Reports in Holland suggest that Louis van Gaal is ready to rival Serie A side AC Milan for the signature of a young player touted as the best free-kick taker in world football. Bayer Leverkusen 21-year-old Hakan Calhanoglu is one of the rising stars of the Bundesliga, and has an uncanny ability of finding the net from set-pieces. For what it's worth - and we don't mean to get all Sky Sports on you - but he's rated as the number one free-kick taker on FIFA 16, ahead of Andrea Pirlo, Marco Reus and Lionel Messi...
