Manchester United are eyeing January talks with a Bayern Munich star wanted by Real Madrid who they could sign for a bargain price.
Under the recent tenure of Ruben Amorim, United have started rebuilding their way to the top for what feels like the hundredth time since 2013.
No rebuild is complete without a few marquee signings, with one player in particular being heavily perused by the Red Devils in recent weeks.
Canadian left-back Alphonso Davies has been regarded as one of the best in his position in recent years, and is heavily desired by clubs around Europe with his contract at Bayern Munich expiring at the end of season.
It comes as Bayern refuse to meet Davies’ wage demands of around £15m-a-year with a £14m signing on fee.
The player is open to signing at a new club on a pre-contract, and Sport Bild’s Christian Falk has reported that the United are very keen to talk to the player.
However, other clubs in better positions than United are interested in the 24-year-old.
One of these is Real Madrid who have long been linked with the player.
Meanwhile, one of United's fullbacks is reportedly wanted by Los Blancos, after an impressive season last year.
Diogo Dalot was one of the positives in a struggling United team last season, and now GIVEMESPORT have reported that the Spanish giants have made contact over a £45m deal for the player.
This could see United let Dalot satisfy the full-back demands of Real Madrid who are also persuing Trent Alexander-Arnold, while getting a gem in Alphonso Davies to join the club.
