Potential cause for concern for United fans.

One of Europe's biggest clubs is plotting a huge £90m move for Bruno Fernandes from Man United as reported by the Daily Star.

The news has been picked up across national media and United fans could become worried at the potential of Bruno following in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps.

That's because Real Madrid want the United main man who has once again been pivotal for the Red Devils in what has proven to be an exceptionally tough season.

The national paper claimed that Madrid are willing to pay £90m for the Portuguese midfielder, which would be a club record departure for Man United ahead of Ronaldo who left for £80m in 2009.

They also revealed that Real Madrid have had people at almost every recent United game, home and away, to watch the mercurial play-maker in action.

The 30-year-old is seen as an ideal replacement for Luka Modric who, despite still impressing this season, is undoubtably in the twilight of his career at 39-years-old.

Bruno would also be part of an overhaul at the club which is likely to see Trent Alexander-Arnold join the squad as well as potential other transfers.

Fernandes has 16 goals and 16 assists in 44 matches this season while has 95 goals in 277 games for the Red Devils.
