Man reportedly stabbed after Cage Warriors event in Liverpool last weekend

One man was stabbed in an attack after a mixed martial arts event at Liverpool’s Echo Arena which saw another suffer a broken jaw.

Following Cage Warriors 82 on Saturday night, police reported seeing an argument between one man and the two victims which escalated into a physical assault.

A 20-year-old man was stabbed in the attack while a 47-year-old man suffered a broken jaw. Both men were transported to Aintree hospital where they underwent treatment for their injuries, according to a report in the Liverpool Echo.

The victims left the arena after the event, at about 11.30pm, and were walking across Kings Dock when the altercation took place.

The attacker has been described as a white male, roughly 5ft 8in with a medium build and he was wearing a navy t-shirt that had a gold triangle design on the front. He was also wearing navy trousers.

He is said to have taken off in the direction of the Premier Inn after the assault and met up with two women, one of whom was wearing a blue skirt and white top while the other wore a red tracksuit.
