Man City reportedly chasing Real Madrid’s Isco

Tom Victor

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is keen on a reunion with Isco, according to reports in Spain.

The pair worked together when Pellegrini was in charge at Malaga, coming within seconds of a Champions League semi-final in 2013.

And according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, City’s chief executive Ferran Soriano has travelled to Spain to hold talks with Real Madrid over the winger.

The 23-year-old has been in and out of the Madrid first team since joining from Malaga, but would face similar competition for places in Manchester.

Fichajes claim he would cost in the region of €40m (£29.5m)

Raheem Sterling, David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne all started in the goalless draw at Leicester, though if Isco does arrive one would expect fellow Spaniard Jesus Navas to move on.
