CCTV footage of the Man City defender in a bar appeared on Tuesday night

Manchester City have no plans to take action over CCTV footage released of defender Kyle Walker on Tuesday.

The Sun released a video where the full back appeared to be in a drunken state and was allegedly seen exposing himself and kissing a woman in a bar in Manchester on Sunday.

City however have no plans to punish the England international with a fine or suspension based upon what they have seen so far, reports The Athletic.

Manager Pep Guardiola had given the side two days off after their win against Newcastle United on Saturday, meaning that he hadn’t broken any official club rules.

Cheshire Police meanwhile confirmed they have seen the video and are making “enquiries” at this moment in time.

They said: “On Wednesday 8 March, Cheshire Police were made aware of a video circulating on social media in relation to an indecent exposure which allegedly occurred in the Wilmslow area.

“Enquiries in relation to the incident are in the early stages and no arrests have been made at this time.”

As per the Sexual Offences Act 2003, if a person intentionally exposes their genitals and intends that someone see them and be caused alarm or distress, they would commit indecent exposure.

A spokesperson from Women’s Aid also told The Athletic: “Whether done to shock, for a so-called laugh, or to intimidate, for those affected by indecent exposure there can be long-term effects, upset and trauma.

“It can give the person exposing themselves a sense of power in the situation.

“And if there are no repercussions, it possibly gives them the confidence to see what they can get away with next time.”
