It’s never good to hear police reporting crowd trouble at football matches, but the details of one man’s arrest is slightly amusing.
According to a report in the Liverpool Echo a man was arrested during Tranmere Rovers’ 2-2 draw with Wrexham – for throwing an object which ‘resembled a sex toy.’
Reports on social media claimed the object, which was picked up by Tranmere goalkeeper Scott Davies, was actually a bottle.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We are unable to comment on what type of article was thrown, as it will form part of the evidence still to be put to the accused and/or used as part of a prosecution case.”
Not that we’re an expert in sex toys, but this doesn’t look like a bottle to us.
