Luke Shaw believes that Manchester United will have a clear structure to play in for the 'first time in a while' next season under Erik ten Hag. The new Red Devils boss has been putting the United players through their paces over the last two weeks, with a pre-season friendly against Premier League rivals Liverpool to come on Tuesday. It is thought that Ten Hag has made a positive impression on the United squad, and that players are responding positively to his meticulous work on the training pitch.

Shaw appears to make subtle dig at former managers

While Shaw impressed under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the English defender - like several members of the squad - was often criticised during his reign. The left-back struggled with injuries last season, but still recorded 26 appearances and featured under both Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick. United endured a nightmare season last campaign and collapsed to a sixth-place finish under the German, who took charge after Solskjaer was sacked.

Now, Shaw has appeared to take a subtle sig at his former managers by suggesting that United will now have a 'structure' to play under thanks to Ten Hag's training methods.
