Louis van Gaal could hand two more Manchester United youngsters their debuts at Sunderland

For all the complaints about Louis van Gaal's style this season, he has at least been good at bringing through young talents at Manchester United.

The likes of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Guillermo Varela have made their debuts this season, while Van Gaal oversaw the development of players such as Paddy McNair and Jesse Lingard last season. Preston-born midfielder Weir, who joined the club from Preston North End as a teenager, has come up through United's under-18 and under-21 ranks. Will Keane, who scored a wonder-goal for the under-21s during the week, is also named among the substitutes.
