Lodune Sincaid, cast member on the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter and former WEC champion, has passed away at the age of 45.
Sincaid trained and fought under Randy Couture on the first season of TUF and competed at the finale of the tournament, where he suffered the first professional defeat of a career which spanned nine years.
Sincaid went on to win the WEC light heavyweight title in 2006 with a submission victory over Dan Molina.
He spent the latter part of his career competing on small regional fight cards before retiring in 2010
A statement on his official website confirmed that Sincaid passed away on Sunday, exactly a month before he would have turned 46.
"Lodune Sincaid was found dead April 7, 2019," his website stated. "Lodune was a true friend and will be missed by those close to him as well as those who crossed his path during his time on this earth. He held no grudges and left this life in peace."
