Liverpool take siege mentality to new heights…

Patrick McCarry

Liverpool are set to install a new privacy screen at their Melwood training ground in a bid to avoid Premier League spies.

The 4.5 metre screens will be moved into place 48 hours before matchdays in a move to guard against social media leaks of formations and possible line-ups.

According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool City Council granted planning permission in April, but the screens will only be ready within the next fortnight.

The paper report that Brendan Rodgers has been the driving force behind the proposed curtain of secrecy as he feels opponents are learning of his tactical plans well in advance of matches.
