Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the Arsenal winger, and Red Bull Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, are also said to be targets for Liverpool, while Klopp retains interest in Borussia Dortmund's 18-year-old winger Christian Pulisic.
Last week, the Independent reported that Liverpool are interested in Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson, and Fulham's talented 17-year-old Ryan Sessegnon.
