Liverpool midfielder snapped wearing another Premier League team’s kit – but is it real?

Could be a fake

This would appear to be a sign that Jordon Ibe is on his way out of Liverpool.

The young Englishman drew comparisons to former team-mate Raheem Sterling as he broke into the first team this season under Jurgen Klopp, but has been linked with a move away from Anfield all summer.

Perhaps that explains why someone might possibly go to the effort of mocking up a picture of the 20-year-old sporting a West Ham training top and sharing it online.

The picture may well be real, but possibly the clearest indication that the deal isn’t going ahead is the number one source for West Ham transfers – Jack Sullivan.

The son of Hammers’ co-owner David Sullivan dismissed the Ibe rumour.

However, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the winger depart Liverpool in some form this summer, be it a loan or permanent deal. Jurgen Klopp is bound to make changes to the squad in his first summer transfer window as manager, and Ibe could find his starting chances limited at Anfield.

Ibe has been linked with a move to Southampton, as part of a swap deal for Sadio Mane, but once again we should take these rumours with a pinch of salt.

Transfer silly season is fully underway.
