Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo could leave Man Utd over the next few days

Both players have been on the periphery at Old Trafford for some time

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard is reportedly inching towards a loan move to West Ham, with David Moyes' side looking to make permanent the loan signing of Said Benrahma to free up space for the 28-year-old.

Centre-back Marcos Rojo is also available for transfer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, with Boca Juniors said to be a possible destination for the Argentina international.

Lingard was expected to leave Manchester United in the summer but remained at Old Trafford, making just three appearances for the club in the time since.

He has been linked with moves to Newcastle United and the Hammers in the January transfer window, but according to reports is said to favour a move to the London Stadium.

West Ham paid a £5 million loan fee to bring Benrahma from Brentford, and are due to pay a further £20m plus £5m in add-ons at the end of the season. The club are now looking to make that deal permanent in January to allow Lingard's loan to go through.

Lingard made his Premier League debut for Manchester United on the opening day of the 2014/15 season, before joining Derby County on loan in February 2015.

He went on to make 206 appearances over the next five seasons, but has fallen out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Rojo joined United from Sporting Club in 2014 and, after featuring semi-regularly in his first three seasons at the club, has made just 17 league appearances over the past four seasons.
