New Manchester United defender Leny Yoro is likely to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines, the club fear.
Signed this summer for £52m, there is now concern that he faces a lengthy layoff.
Injured during the 2-1 loss against Arsenal on Saturday at the Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, the French centre-back has since been filmed on crutches and wearing a protective boot on his left foot.
Having impressed on his debut, it was only Yoro's second game for United, however he unfortunately went to ground in the 34th minute and required treatment on the pitch before having to come off.
It will be seen as a considerable blow for Erik ten Hag should he be out for a prolonged period.
The Red Devils endured a horrific 66 injuries last season, and the boss noted that a repeat could in fact occur this term due to such a heavy workload on the players.
