Officially "redcurrant" (only Arsenal could make up their own Dulux colour) the shirt was meant to be a throwback to their 1913 strip, which was their first season at the ground.
And now it appears Puma are giving the fans something special by reverting back to a darker red and gold trim, with their new training top, along with an extremely spicy black alternative.
It's hard to be nice about Arsenal, but these look like genuinely class threads to rock up to 5-a-side on a Monday night in.
Ozil scoop passes, Xhaka thunderbolts, Xhaka man-and-ball-but-mostly-man challenges, you can do it all whilst looking every bit as smart as Bergkamp, Thierry and big Gilberto Silva did back in the day.
