Kylian Mbappe’s Fifa rating will definitely be needing an upgrade…

Not that you can really blame the guys at Fifa too much

The fellas in charge of sorting out ratings for Fifa games have a bloody hard task.

They work tirelessly to make sure that each and every player on the game is given a rating that accurately reflects their skill level before the game’s launch. Yet despite the amount of time that goes into this, there’s always at least one player that pops up from absolutely nowhere, putting in the kind of real-life performances that makes their Fifa card look a little bit silly.

This season, that could be said of Monaco’s Kylia Mbappe, whose couple of goals against Manchester City went a long way to dumping Pep Guardiola’s side out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage.

Despite being highly rated in France for a wile, Mbappe has only just turned 18 and this is his breakthrough season with the Ligue 1-topping side. With all this in mind, you can understand why the youngster only had a card with a rating of just 71 when the game launched last year.

We can safely assume that Mbappe (full name Kylian Mbappe Lottin) will be given a much higher overall rating when Fifa 18 hits the shelves a few months from now.
