The season just keeps getting worse for Juventus.

The reigning Serie A champions are currently sat in 15th place in the league, having lost three of their opening six games, but it is an off-the-pitch matter that has become the most detrimental aspect of their season.

Defender Martin Caceres has been suspended by the club after he crashed his Ferrari into a bus stop in Turin in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

It’s also reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport that the 28-year-old was found to be over the legal limit of alcohol when tested by officers.

Juventus released the following statement on the incident.

The conduct of Martin Caceres on the night of 28 September represents gross violation of his responsibilities as a Juventus player, as well as damaging the image of the club

Juventus will thus taken disciplinary action against the player in the form of a fine and his temporary suspension from the first team.

The accident was the second time in two years that Caceres has had something like this happen, having been involved in another car crash in 2013.
