Jurgen Klopp doesn’t try to fix what’s not broken as he names Liverpool team for derby

An enforced change for Everton.

When you’re coming off the back of a 3-0 victory, why would you tinker with the system?

Jurgen Klopp has named an unchanged XI for this evening’s Merseyside derby, with Ragnar Klavan starting alongside Dejan Lovren in the heart of the back four.

Divock Origi keeps his place up top, with Roberto Firmino supporting him, while Adam Lallana will be hoping that his stellar form continues against Liverpool’s city rivals.

Ronald Koeman has been forced to make a defensive change as Phil Jagielka is suspended after being sent off against Arsenal last week so Ramiro Funes Mori comes in to partner Ashley Williams in their defence.

The derby gets underway at 8pm from Goodison Park.
