Jose Mourinho could only put on a brave face for so long.
In his post-match interview with Sky Sports following Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Spurs, Mourinho spoke about how “from a tactical point of view, we didn’t lose.”
The United manager talked about how he was pleased with the preparations in the build-up to Monday’s game and how proud he was of the supporters at Old Trafford.
But the tension was bubbling and by the time he reached his press conference, he was ready to explode.
After going back and forth with a reporter on the subjects of the result’s significance and the home fans, some of whom left early and some of whom stayed after the full-time whistle, Mourinho had heard enough.
“Just to finish, do you know the result? Mourinho asked before holding up three fingers.

“3-0. Do you know what this means? 3-0 but it also means three Premierships and I have won more Premierships alone than the other 19 managers together.
“Three for me and two for them. Respect! Respect!”
After referencing his superiority in terms of Premier League title successes compared to Pep Guardiola and Manuel Pellegrini, Mourinho stormed out of the room.
Monday evening’s result represents Mourinho’s heaviest ever home defeat as a manager in any competition.
