Manchester City may have paved the way for Jose Mourinho to head to Paris Saint-Germain

After months of constant rumours, we’re still no nearer to knowing when / if Manchester United will make their move for Jose Mourinho.

Frankly, it’s all become a bit tiresome now, and some are starting to doubt whether the former Chelsea boss will actually make a Premier League return.

A report in the Daily Mail on Thursday suggests that Mourinho may choose to take charge at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, with speculation mounting that Laurent Blanc could be on the brink of leaving the club.

Having turned Ligue 1 into a cakewalk since the Qatari takeover in 2011, PSG’s owners are still desperate for European success. Dumped out of the Champions League by Manchester City on Tuesday night, it’s now being suggested that the club’s owners could move for Mourinho – despite Blanc signing a new contract as recently as February.

“When we lose, I take responsibility,” the former French skipper said after the game. “The future is something we need to think about.”

Hardly the words of a man that’s confident he’s keeping his job.

The wait goes on.
