England bounced back from a humiliating defeat at Lord's and beat Pakistan by an innings and 55 runs this afternoon thanks to a much improved display both with the ball and the bat at Headingley.
There were a few new faces in the squad, namely Dom Bess and Sam Curran, while Jos Buttler was also handed a return to the Test side after impressing in white ball cricket for so long.
Buttler made the most of this opportunity to impress the new selectors by scoring 80 not out from just 174 balls in the second Test.
One eagle-eyed viewer spotted a motivational message written on the handle of Buttler's bat today, that appears to say 'fuck it'.
His batting style encapsulates this message, which has made him such a success in the white ball game. More caution is necessary in Test cricket but England have needed someone to chip in with the runs and Buttler's aggressive style has served them well in this week's Test.

Debutant Sam Curran performed well in his first ever Test, taking one wicket in each innings, although he was outshone by Dom Bess, who scored 49 runs and took three wickets in just his second Test for England.
The future is bright.
